Cheesy Kale Chips
Make this delicious healthy snack in about 30 minutes.
Equipment
- Food Processor or Blender
Ingredients
- 6 oz Chopped Kale Leaves (washed, dried, and remove stems)
- 1/4 cup Cashews Raw
- 3-4 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
- 1.5 tbsp Olive Oil (or other plant oil, like avocado oil, etc.)
- 1.5 tbsp Sunflower Seeds Unsalted
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- .15 tsp Salt
- .15 tsp Pepper
- pinch Cayenne Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
Prep the Kale
- Add kale to a large bowl and drizzle with oil.6 oz Chopped Kale Leaves, 1.5 tbsp Olive Oil
- Use your hands to massage the kale to soften the texture and disperse the oil on all the pieces of kale.
Make the (Non-Dairy) Cheesy Powder
Make the Cheesy Kale Chips
- Add the Cheesy Powder to the kale and toss with your hands to distribute the powder on all pieces of the kale.
- Spread the kale on a flat baking sheet into an even layer. Make sure the pieces are not overlapping to ensure crispiness. (you may need to bake them in two batches)
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and flip the kale to ensure even baking.
- Put back into the oven and bake for another 5 - 10 minutes, or until the chips are crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Enjoy your healthy cheesy snack.
Notes
Once the Cheesy Kale Chips are completely cooled, you can store them in a plastic bag or airtight container for up to 2-3 days. After 24 hours it starts to lose its crispiness so enjoy as soon as possible. 😉
