It’s day 5 of my #NoBadSugarFast. I’ve been drinking more (bottled) water. Since I’ve been reading the labels for the ingredients of my food, I decided to read the ingredients of Water, and boy, was I surprised. …But first,
THE GOOD:
- I am starting to learn more about food, which is really interesting.
- I’m sleeping better at night (relatively being a caregiver).
- Coffee with a little dry creamer is getting better
- Skin is clearing up
- Regularity is always a plus
- Learning how food makes me feel. This helps me determine what foods I should eat during the day. Ex. Fruits make me feel more energetic after I eat them. I’m going to start eating more fruit in the morning instead of as a night snack.
THE BAD:
- Starting to feel the common symptoms of drastically reducing or stopping sugar intake: Cravings, Fatigue, Irritability, Depressed mood, Nausea, Headaches, and Dizziness. But this is normal. Not sure if that makes me feel better, tho.
WHAT THE #SALT:
- I thought the ingredient of Bottled Water was #WATER. Yeah, not so much. Since I have High Blood Pressure, I also have to be mindful of my salt intake.
- I drink more water when I have headaches, thinking it would help. I didn’t realize (or maybe just ignored the fact) that SALT is added to Bottled Water.
Probably not all Bottled Water, but the most popular brands. Can someone share a Bottled Water that is JUST WATER? #HELP
Thanks for your support.
UPDATE:
I learned that although a very small percentage of sodium is added, it is to add electrolytes to the water. There are bottled waters that do not have to add sodium (salt) because the water naturally has electrolytes like Pure Life, Polar Springs, and Deer Park.
