Sometimes, I have a craving for Chicken flavored Ramen. But instead of using the high sodium packets, I use the Chicken(less) Bouillon Powder to make this quick and tasty meal.

Quick Chicken-Free Ramen Bowl

Here is a meal I make when I don't have a lot of time but need something filling.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Instant Ramen Noodles (discard the seasoning packet)
  • 2 cups water

Seasoning

Optional Add Ins

  • 3/4 cup frozen mixed vegetables optional
  • Firm cubed Tofu optional
  • 1 Seaweed snack sheet crumbled up optional

Instructions
 

  • In a medium pot, add water and seasoning on medium heat. Stir until seasoning is dissolved.
    2 cups water, 1.5 tbsp Homemade Chicken(less) Bouillon Powder (up to 2 tbsps to taste)
  • Add noodles and cook according to package instructions. Don’t overcook 2-3 minutes is usually good.
    1 Instant Ramen Noodles
  • Optional: Add cubed tofu to the pot and cook with noodles for the last minute. Do not overcook.
    Firm cubed Tofu
  • Optional: While ramen is cooking, put frozen vegetables in the microwave for 1-2 minutes until veggies are tender and not frozen. When done heating, add vegetables to the pot with the noodles. Stir to mix.
    3/4 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • Pour cooked noodles and liquid, (optional tofu and vegetables) into a bowl and stir with a fork or chopsticks; top with seaweed (optional) and Enjoy!

Notes

  • veggies: make sure they're cooked or steamed first before adding. Left over vegetables are great to add to soup!
  • Tofu: firm tofu cubed, add in as is or fry it a little if you like!
